The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s visit to Sri Lanka tomorrow (23) will be restricted to the Presidential Secretariat, Temple Trees and the hotel where the Prime Minister is staying, Government sources have stated.
Accordingly, the decision has been taken on the advice of the Pakistani and Sri Lankan Governments and due to the prevailing pandemic.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (23) and will be received by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Bandaranaike International Airport. A number of Cabinet Ministers representing the Government of Sri Lanka are scheduled to attend the welcoming ceremony as well.
Official talks between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka are scheduled to be held at Temple Trees tomorrow (23) as well. Afterward, a dinner will be organised for the Pakistani PM at Temple Trees.
Official talks between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa are scheduled to be held on the 24th morning at the Presidential Secretariat.
Pakistan has expressed their willingness to support Sri Lanka at the Human Rights Council session taking place in Geneva. In addition, the two leaders are expected to focus on further developing economic cooperation and friendship between the two countries. The Pakistani PM is expected to conclude his visit and return to Pakistan on 24 February.
