Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases tally increases to 92,598

The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the country has increased to 92,598.

The Department of Government Information said 156 persons tested positive for the virus thus far today.

Meanwhile the number of COVID-19 recoveries recorded in the country has increased to 89,251, after 161 patients were discharged during the past 24 hours.

17 persons each were discharged from the Yakkala and Panideniya treatment centres, 16 from the Bingiriya treatment centre and 13 each from the Embilipitiya treatment centre and the Warakapola Base Hospital.

2,781 individuals are being treated at present for COVID-19 at several facilities, while 353 suspected cases are under medical observation.
