Oxygen Therapy Units (Airvo 2 ) for Sri Lanka

Covid-19 spreading rapidly in Sri Lanka. Hospitals in Sri Lanka desperately need the Airvo 2 Humidified Nasal High Flow Systems to prevent patients dying from serve hypoxic respiratory failures. This project is planning to buy at least nine units, each cost $9,400. We need your help as these units will save thousands of lives.

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll surpassed the 900-mark today (May 14) as 29 more victims were confirmed by the Director-General of Health Services. This is reportedly the highest-ever coronavirus deaths Sri Lanka has posted in a single day since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. 

The country is at a difficult juncture. People are living with a fear of this dreadful virus. A pregnant woman infected with SARS-CoV-2 has fallen victim to the virus infection after delivering her baby at the Teaching Hospital in Kurunegala on Friday (May 14).  Doctors have managed to save her baby. This is one of the many sad stories that we have heard from Sri Lanka.
