Did Sunil Perera tested positive for COVID on his second hospitalization or tested positive for COVID after his death?

In Tamil Nadu S. P. Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalized for a longer period due to covid infection but he recovered from that covid infection. However while he was in the hospital he died of post covid affect. Therefore his family was permitted to given an honourable funeral without any restrictions because his death is a post covid death.
